HR Forum

***OUR NEXT HR FORUM IS TAKING PLACE ON TUESDAY 27 MARCH 2012***

The topic for discussion is:  Is the tide of social media affecting your recruitment decisions and choices?   Can we use what is available in the social media forum to help us formulate good decisions?

If you would like to attend, please contact Lucy Burton on 0121 233 2335.

The quarterly Key Personnel HR Forums bring together an invited group of HR professionals to discuss the latest employment topics, exchange ideas for best practice and to help attendees build a valuable network of contacts and peers. We have been running the HR Forums since early 2009 and our recent discussion topics have included:

  • Managing sickness and absence
  • Social media in the workplace
  • Alternatives to redundancy
  • Pensions and personal accounts from 2012

The Key Personnel HR Forums are friendly and informal events with plenty of lively discussion. If you would like to learn more about forthcoming events or be considered for membership, which is free of charge, please contact maryhendry@keypersonnel.co.uk. You can also find the Key Personnel HR Forum on the social networking site LinkedIn.

Here is what one of our HR Forum members has to say about the initiative:

"I believe the concept of the HR Forum was both innovative and inspiring and you should be congratulated!  The opportunity to network with other professionals from both similar and contrasting sectors is invaluable. The sessions are arranged with busy individuals in mind so (in my experience) tend to be focused and sharp and provide regular opportunities to swap ideas and extend learning, resulting in chances to innovate within one’s own role and company. This is further enhanced because we are able to communicate between meetings through either yourselves or the Linked In Group you have sent up. Consequently, we can access advice and expertise on an ad hoc basis when it is most needed and having Key Personnel available to facilitate this process is an additional bonus.

I would urge anyone to take advantage of joining this network – I am sure it will enhance their personal and professional portfolio and add value to their employer."
