Events and Marketing Co-Ordinator – Birmingham £22,500 to £24,000
This highly successful and established professional services firm, operating in the legal sector, holds a number of events per year (c. 300). Its event programme forms a fundamental part to its continued growth strategy.
They are looking for an Events and Marketing Co-Ordinator to lead this team in delivering events and seminars throughout the year. You will facilitate and co-ordinate the events programme, working with an Assistant. Its head office is in Birmingham but it also has offices in London and the North. You will be based in Birmingham but occasional travel to its other locations will be part of this role. This exciting, busy and varied role will require you to
Work with colleagues to detail, plan and execute events. You will have particular focus on working with business development and marketing functions.
Ensure the Events programme throughout the year is planned, managed and executed effectively and efficiently.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships internally but also with key external suppliers and clients. This will also involve reviewing services provided by suppliers and sourcing new suppliers where necessary.
Source appropriate venues for events.
Lead and manage weekly events meetings.
Produce a variety of marketing material for events
Produce information post events, ensuring digital marketing/social media streams are updated
Manage and develop the workload of the Events Assistant.

Possess the skills to supervise team workload
Be a confident communicator, both written and orally.
Be able to demonstrate you have handled multiple events in a calendar year from a corporate perspective.
Have excellent presentation skills; you will be an ambassador for the firm at the events.
Be comfortable meeting new people face to face and have excellent communication skills.
Have enthusiasm, flexibility, attention to detail.
Bring fresh ideas.
Be able at work at pace, multi task and to work to deadlines
Have a high proficiency in IT including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Ideally you will also have used Serif PagePlus, Corel and Paint Shop Pro.
