Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant
I am working with a long standing law firm in the Edgbaston area who is looking for a Legal Secretary in the Property Litigation Team with a minimum of two years experience (although less than 2 years experience may be acceptable in the case of an appropriately qualified applicant who can comply with the other essential requirements). You must have civil litigation experience as there will be a lot of landlord and tenant work. My client will consider a good law graduate who has covered civil litigation work.
If you are an experienced legal secretary, you will have experience of supporting a fee earner to manage a caseload of Property /civil Litigation matters. You will have knowledge of the Litigation process, be familiar with legal terminology, be deadline-conscious and possess excellent computer and word processing skills. You will need good written and oral communication skills.
You will have the ability to:-
·prepare correspondence and type legal documents.
·maintain and update document and folders
·communicate with clients, solicitors, counsel, experts
·prepare schedules and invoices based on time and billing records.
You should be reliable, efficient, flexible and adaptive, discrete, patient, able to exercise initiative, proactive and have a pleasant demeanour with a positive attitude. You will enjoy working as part of a small team and will need to fit in with the requirements of clients and fee earners which may change from time to time.
Salary is dependent on experience and level and there is free on site parking.
