I am working with my client, a Birmingham based professional services firm, who is looking to engage a part time Secretariat. This post is flexible and rewarding. The work involves organising various meetings/events across the calendar year. The meetings will be formal and will involve the organisation and distribution of papers, organising dates and venues, agreeing attendees, attending the meetings and taking minutes (shorthand an advantage but equally a fast typist on a laptop would be sufficient), and typing up/distributing those minutes. The work is lumpy and some weeks are busier than others. The work averages out to 1-2 days a week. Some of this work can be carried out at home. Your experience should include working at this level before, and also the ability to work unsupervised and autonomously. My client is happy to engage someone on a paye basis, or you may have other work of this nature for other clients and be self-employed. My client is therefore happy to consider engaging someone on this basis too.
You should be highly organised, have solid administration/secretarial experience, have arranged/attended and minuted meetings. Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have excellent MS Office skills too.
