Job Description

My client, who operate in the fashion eyewear business is looking for a Product Manager to join their growing business.   This award winning private company is dynamic and wants to attract the best talent in the market.  

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for the development and sourcing of all products. Developing competitive and commercial product is essential to the success of the business.  Reporting to the MD, and responsible for a Product Development Assistant, you will work closely with the Marketing Dept and the Supply Team.

Key responsibilities

·Buying and developing all optical frames from initial technical drawings to delivery of stock for house collections and private label ranges

·Working closely with the Managing Director to take a design from concept through to prototypes

·Key contact for all suppliers throughout the whole production process

·Negotiating, liaising and developing relationships with suppliers, particularly those in the Far East – China, Hong Kong and South Korea primarily through email

·Managing critical path and delivery schedule

·Negotiating and monitoring cost prices

·Overseeing the audit trail for all new product

·Responsible for workload, output and training of the Product Development Assistant

·Responsible for presenting new product and collections to the Board of Directors and Sales Team

·Developing cases and POS material

·Product planning and scheduling including new collection launches

·Quarterly sales and gross profit analysis and projections to effectively develop commercially viable product target

·Total Quality Management including overseeing all quality procedures

·Liaising and developing product and collections from briefs with Buyers from eyewear chains and groups

·Composing business plans and securing new brands/licenses for the company

·Presenting the company and product portfolio to customers

·Attending and overseeing supplier meetings with a view to build and maintain long term business relationships

·Representing the company at major eyewear exhibitions as well as conferences

·Creative contribution to photoshoots, brochures and advertising when required working closely with the Marketing Team
