Job Description

Do you have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a purchase ledger department? I have a super opportunity for someone with purchase ledger experience to join a very busy business operating in the engineering sector. The department is busy yet fun too. Everyone works as a team and the environment is extremely positive.

You will be responsible for ensuring the purchase order system is running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Some of the duties include:-

1. Producing purchase orders
2. Placing orders with suppliers, and ensuring documentation is in order
3. Being proactive where purchases are required, sometimes looking for competitive prices
4. Dispatching correct paperwork to head office
5. Making payments on credit cards, cheques and an eBay account
6. Proactively looking to reduce costs to the business
7. Maintaining stock levels as efficiently as possible.
8. Any other ad-hoc administration duties.

To be considered for this role, you must have a background or a minimum of 2 years experience in purchase ledger. You will also have sound administration and organisational skills, be computer literate. Experience in Microsoft Navision would be an advantage but not essential. If you have worked previously in a manufacturing/engineering background, this environment is more likely to suit you too.
